Ernie originally came to us as a young 5-month-old pup with very little sociability, excited but nervous about most things, and no concept of training. He found an experienced dog owner that adopted him into county life. Unfortunately, only a few months settled in, Ernie is once again up for adoption after the death of his adopter. Now Ernie is much bigger, more confident, and super-duper affectionate! He certainly learned how to bond and love people while in his previous home. Ernie was living an indoor/outdoor dog life and still needs to work on potty training and house manners. He is eager to please, full of energy, and learns quickly so training is a fun experience! Ernie is seeking a home where he can continue to grow not only in size (he will be a large adult dog) but also in knowledge and confidence in new environments. Ernie loves to bark, run, and play, all with the energy of the young, working breed that he is. For these reasons, a larger home with space to move is a must for this boy.
