Say Hello to Link!

Meet Link! Link is a handsome 3-year-old black and tan coonhound with soulful brown eyes and adorable floppy ears. He is a sweet and friendly boy who just wants to be your best friend.

Link arrived at the Animal Center in June and has quickly become a favorite of the volunteers. When he's out walking or playing, other volunteers will often stop him for a quick hug, and he's always happy to oblige. Link is energetic and always ready for playtime, but he also loves to sit with you and cuddle. It's common to find him sitting on the grass with one of his human friends, snuggling into them and sitting quietly, enjoying the love.

In addition to being friendly, Link is very smart. He just graduated from a beginning obedience class at SPOT & Co., where he learned important skills like "sit," "down," "stand," "stay," and "come." He has some hidden talents as well: he has been trained to hunt raccoons and has two years of experience with it. Link is also on his way to becoming a TV star! He will be featured on an upcoming PATV show about the Animal Center's Paws to Train dog training program, where he will show off his exceptional skills and winning personality.

Link would do best in a home with children over 8 years old. With a proper introduction and living arrangement, he could possibly share a home with another canine companion. Link is neutered and is good about keeping his kennel clean. He likes to talk, to make sure you know what he's thinking. Link has gained some confidence at the Animal Center and adjusts well to new situations, so he should quickly settle in to his new home.
